Custom software does not mean writing everything from scratch. The right balance is using proven components where they fit and building custom logic where your business is different. We establish that balance during discovery.
Process first, screens second.
01Designing software without understanding how the work actually runs produces screens nobody uses. We talk to teams, map current flows and document exceptions. Then we decide together which steps to simplify and which to automate.
- Current workflow and bottleneck analysis
- Roles, permissions and approval flows
- Data entry and reporting requirements
- Prioritisation of real usage scenarios
A system that talks to what you already use.
02New software rarely stands alone. It often needs to exchange data with accounting, ERP, e-commerce, payment, shipping or communication systems. We plan integrations within the project and build a setup where data flows are visible and errors can be traced.
- API and data exchange requirements
- Migration of existing data
- Authentication and access control
- Error and activity logs
Works today, grows tomorrow.
03Instead of adding every requirement to the first release, we build the core that delivers the highest value. The team starts using the software earlier, and real feedback makes the next steps more accurate.
- Phased delivery and prioritisation
- Improvements based on usage
- Maintenance and support scope
- Long-term technical sustainability
Deliverables
+Outputs depend on the project, but every custom software engagement follows the same core discipline.
Process map
A shared picture of current flows, roles and improvement points.
Product scope
Functions for the first release and their priority order.
Interface and panel
Role-based screens designed for daily use.
Integration and rollout
Data migration, testing, training and launch support.
How we work
05-
01
Analyse
Workflows, users and constraints are mapped together.
-
02
Prototype
Critical screens and flows become visible early.
-
03
Develop
Work proceeds in short cycles with regular reviews.
-
04
Roll out
Data is migrated, tested and the team is prepared to use it.
Frequently asked questions
?Why custom software instead of an off-the-shelf product?
If your processes do not fit a standard product or require a specific flow between systems, custom software may be the better fit. We still assess whether an existing solution is sufficient before recommending a build.
Do we have to replace our current software completely?
No. In some projects we keep the existing system, add missing pieces or build an integration. The decision is based on the health of the current setup and its long-term cost.
Will we own the data and source code?
Intellectual property and source-code delivery are defined explicitly in the project agreement. Scope and delivery model are documented before work begins.
Can changes be made after launch?
Yes. As needs change, new development, improvements and maintenance support can be planned. These are assessed as a separate scope of work.
